About Mrs. Motz

Hello Everyone! My name is Shandi Motz.  I went to college at Chadron State and graduated in May 2011.  My first teaching job was in Mission South Dakota, and I taught third grade.  Now I am teaching in Chadron at Chadron Intermediate School in fourth grade. There is no where I would rather be, than teaching fourth grade!

I am married to Dustin Motz, and we have been married for a little over one year! Together we have two fur babies! They are both cats, Ottis and Ophelia. Ottis was a stray cat that we rescued from a car engine.  Ophelia, we got from a friend so she has been with us since she was a kitten! Together we love to go golfing and spend time with our friends and family!

School Walk Around Science Activity

Today we are doing a school walk around activity for science.  The students got the opportunity to walk around the school outside and make observations on what they see.  They had a blast being able to write down anything and everything they saw!  We even got to witness some animals, plants, and of course out play ground!  We will be doing an activity tomorrow, where we sort out whether their observations are living or non-living! Here is to a fun-filled week of science!

Friday Fun Day with ART!

Hello everyone! The first week of school is done and what a week it was! We had a great first week of school and we can't wait for the rest of the year to come! To end the week with some fun and a bang we did ART for the last part of the day! We worked on creating drawings that made us look like we were falling through the sky! The kids did AMAZING and had a BLAST while working! What a great way to end the week!
